Truly has over 25 years of experience working in the home builders industry. Her strengths then and today include Lobbying, Government Affairs, and Legislative Affairs. She brings with her a wealth of contacts throughout the East Coast, at the Local, State and Congressional levels. Now, as the Executive Vice President of BASF, Ms. Burton’s much respected and credible reputation within the industry fortifies BASF and its members as she is your “Go-To” source for Government Affairs and Trustees Memberships.
Additional daily operations include managing BASF staff, include Setting weekly staff Goals, Monitoring Membership Growth, Event Planning, Financial Planning, Business Development, and ensuring that BASF upholds its mission standards.

Susan is a retired business owner with over 20 years’ experience running multiple small businesses. Her skill sets include Contract Negotiation and Budgeting, Collections and Administration. Ms. Burns is responsible for leading efforts that maintain and enhance ongoing learning within the Association. Also, she is responsible for the BASF annual calendar, is the support for the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, produces quarterly event reports and is always looking for more professional development opportunities – all focused on helping our Members sharpen their skills and advance their industry knowledge and be more profitable.
Her additional responsibilities include event support, registration and billing questions, and data base coordination. She keeps the wheels turning at BASF!
