The Related Group’s Albert Milo, awarded the Rep. Mike Davis Award for Contributions to Affordable Housing in Florida.

proud to announce Albert Milo, Jr Principal and Senior Vice President of Related
Urban Development Group (RUDG), as the 2015 recipient of the Representative
Mike Davis Award for his contributions to Florida’s affordable housing industry. Mr.
Milo will receive this honor at the Awards Ceremony during the Florida Home
Builders Association’s (FHBA) quarterly meeting, scheduled to take place Saturday,
October 17, 2015. The event will be held at the PGA National Resort and Spa, Palm
Beach Gardens, FL.
Mr. Milo’s passion for helping advance South Florida’s underserved affordable
housing market began in 1991 when he founded Elite Service Realty, a real estate
brokerage firm specializing in real estate sales to low and moderate-income
Mr. Milo founded The Urban Development Group (UDG) in 2002 with the goal of
revitalizing communities by creating affordable home ownership opportunities and
in 2009 went on to partner with the highly regarded Related Group under the new
entity: Related Urban Development Group (RUDG). Under Milo’s leadership, RUDG
has developed, rehabilitated and managed over 1,300 public, affordable, and
workforce housing units with financing obtained through tax-exempt bonds and low
income housing tax credits.
In 2011, RUDG was awarded the exclusive development rights to preserve and
redevelop 11 Miami-Dade County public housing projects. In 2015, RUDG completed
six of those developments and commenced the redevelopment of four additional
projects in partnership with Miami-Dade County.
Richard Gomez, BASF’s 2015 BASF President, commented, “we are so proud that Al

for those less fortunate, and has made it the Related Urban Development Group’s
mission to positively affect thousands of people—all of whom are leading better
lives because of his dedication.”

Miami Boys and Girls Club, where he had spent much of his childhood time
after school

• YMCA of South Florida, Board Member, since 2015
